The Myth and the Mirror is a series of 30-minute programs showing the diversity of Indigenous cultures in Brazil. The series reveals the complex and rich cultural world of 10 tribes, the significance and beauty of their body paintings and adornments, their symbolism and connections with sacred worlds, shamanism and traditional medicine, and the rituals that congregate people around chants and dances. The Myth and the Mirror intends to show the relationship of Indigenous people with the environment, and how they have been able to survive and defend their territory and traditional practices despite the dominant culture that surrounds them.
