In November of 2000, DTVisions completed an additional 30-day production trip to some of the most protected regions of the Brazilian Rain Forest. We reached the furthest point navigable in the Negro River by regional boats, and from there, we continued on smaller motorized vessels to the border of Venezuela and the Negro's tributaries and lakes in Northwestern Brazil. You may visit jungletrekker.com for some of the updates sent in QuickTime format via satellite phone. Amazônia: Mother of Nature has produced more than 80 hours of video, now going into post-production phase, and over 4,000 slides about the people who live and work in the rain forest. We have heard their opinions about present and future issues, documented their traditional celebrations, and listened to their ancient wisdom about the forest. We will soon share all of this and much more with viewers from around the globe. Networks from the U.S., Japan, France, and Canada are now evaluating the series proposal for acquisition and distribution in different parts of the world. There are now over 30 professionals involved in the project, which will also generate books and other educational resources. [Menu]
